For referring veterinarians
A partner, not a poach.
We accept referrals from general-practice veterinarians for orthopedic, soft-tissue, dental, and specialty surgeries. Our model is referral-friendly by design: we handle the surgery, send full case notes and imaging back the same week, and route every routine follow-up back to you. Your client stays your client.
How a referral works
Three steps. That's it.
Step 1: Send us the case. Email referrals@simonvetsurgical.com or fax/portal the patient history, current medications, recent bloodwork, and any imaging. We accept DICOM and standard image formats.
Step 2: We'll triage within the same business day, confirm the recommended surgical plan, and quote the client directly — saving you the awkward 'how much will it cost?' conversation.
Step 3: We perform the surgery, discharge with detailed instructions, and send a full surgical report plus post-op imaging back to your practice within the week. Your client is back in your office for follow-up care.
What we won't do
We won't poach.
We don't market wellness, vaccines, dentals (other than what we're referred), or routine care to referred clients. Every discharge document we send tells the client to return to YOU for follow-up.
We also won't recommend specific products or supplements outside the scope of the surgery — anything chronic or preventive goes back through your primary care recommendation.
What we will do
Same-week scheduling on most cases.
Most orthopedic and soft-tissue referrals get scheduled within the same week. Emergency capacity is honored when our schedule allows — call us directly for time-sensitive cases.
Surgical reports include incision photos, intra-op findings, implant details (manufacturer, size, lot), and a recommended recovery protocol. Histopathology reports (when applicable) are forwarded directly to your practice as soon as they come back from the lab.

Do you accept referrals from outside the LA area?
Yes. We accept referrals from anywhere — patients travel to us from across Southern California for specialty surgery. Pre-op consultations can be done remotely with shared imaging.
What surgical procedures do you NOT perform?
We don't do neurosurgery (brain, spinal cord), cardiac surgery, or oncologic surgery requiring radiation therapy on-site. For those we coordinate with the appropriate specialist.
How does payment work for referrals?
We bill the client directly at a flat-rate package price. You don't handle the billing — and there's no kickback or referral fee on either side.
